Coney Looking Good for One More Ride

Looks like the Boardwalk will be smoking for at least one more year.

In the latest installment of As the Island Turns, there seems to be a lot of good news percolating around Coney Island.

  • The New York Post quotes Councilman Domenic Recchia Jr. as saying "It's looking real good" that Astroland will get 2008 lease extension from developer Thor Equities.

  • Boardwalk bars Ruby's and ChaCha's have also been offered leases for 2008, according to the Kinetic Carnival blog.
