"Nat Hentoff's Recommended Reading" is a newish feature here on Runnin' Scared that takes an occasional look at the books, articles, and stories that Nat Hentoff is reading these days.
Hentoff, who wrote a piece this week about what sort of mayor Police Commissioner Ray Kelly might make, recommends NYPD Confidential, a web site that takes an insider's look at the world's largest law enforcement agency. It's written by Leonard Levitt, a former Newsday columnist, who vexed NYPD brass for years with his "One Police Plaza" column.
