• Some ideas I found at www.climatechangetriage.net may suggest Professor Lovelock is overly pessimistic but ... who knows? Lovelock is generally righter than most people

• Ok.....your telling us these things the real facts..n why isent anyone taking action to slow global warming down!!...im noticing alot of things in my surrondings and its not pretty....someone needs to step to the plate and get the word out to the people...i mean theres all these facts on the internet but not on the media or on t.v presenting it to the people.....i mean come on noww...cant anyone step up! and present the facts to the president...that we need to concentrate on global warming and i mean by eleminating stuff that are bad for the envirment. -krystal.

• There is no historical data that supports the premise that human activity has any significant effect on global average temperature. The observation of glaciers melting may look dramatic on TV but does not show that human activity is the cause. There is, however, substantial evidence (besides the precipitous temperature drop in Jan 2008) that atmospheric carbon dioxide level does not significantly influence global average temperature. • It is very unlikely that mankind will cut their emissions so fast and drastically that either abrupt climate change or runaway global warming will be avoided. According to Dr James Hansen of NASA, any feasible planetary rescue plan must include a method of removing CO2 from the air.
