The crew of Passing Strange feel the love

9:33 pm The ensemble of de’Adre Aziza, Daniel Breaker, Eisa Davis, Colman Domingo, Chad Goodridge, Rebecca Naomi Jones, and Stew have won an Obie for their performance in Passing Strange (Public Theater).

9:30 pm Presenter Bradley Whitford hands an Obie to Francis Jue for his “many, many performances” in David Henry Hwang’s Yellow Face (Public Theater). "I was told that the Obies, above all other awards in the city, were given to the cool people ... so this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever," Jue said. Jue also thanked his parents, who he said used to tell him, "You're a Jue! That means you have to work ten times harder than anyone else."
