8:37 pm Horton Foote has won an Obie for playwriting for Dividing the Estate (Primary Stages). Horton, 92, is in California and has asked director Michael Wilson to accept on his behalf. Wilson says the Voice has made Horton a "very happy playwright" because, though he has won two Oscars, most famously for his screenplay of To Kill a Mockingbird, and a Pulitzer Prize, this is his very first Obie.
