Great Moments in Protesting
Radio dickhead Michael Savage has not uttered anything worth paying attention to since he was pulled out of his mother.
Still, some morons insist on getting worked up over the guy’s blather.
The latest dimwits who insist on wasting everyone's time: a group of New York autism advocates who are calling for Savage to be fired at a protest today in front of WOR 710 AM, which airs “The Savage Nation” locally.
These folks are outraged – OUTRAGED – that last week, Savage called autism a "[a] fraud, a racket."
Now, if these jackasses had done the smart thing and, like the rest of us, completely ignored Savage, we wouldn't now need to tell you what the radio douchebag actually said...
"I'll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it's a brat who hasn't been told to cut the act out. That's what autism is. What do you mean they scream and they're silent? They don't have a father around to tell them, 'Don't act like a moron. You'll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don't sit there crying and screaming, idiot."
See? This stuff is so stupid it's not even worth pointing out what's wrong with it. But local autism activist Evelyn Ain apparently didn't get the memo explaining How Not to Give a Radio Blowhard More Publicity Than He Deserves.
"Don Imus got fired for a lot less," says Ain, predictably. "Where do you draw the line?"
Well, as long as we're on the subject of pointless protests, we'll take this opportunity to point out that PETA is unveiling a new billboard this afternoon protesting the chicken Holocaust that is KFC.
The billboard, set to occupy space at the intersection of Varick and Spring Streets, enlists drag queen Lady Bunny to make the point that crossdressers are finger lickin' good. Or something.
