City's Collapse Continues

powright.jpgMore falling glass: a pane popped out of the Bank of America Tower near Bryant Park this afternoon. In its coverage the New York Times mentions the "1,500 pound, floor-to-ceiling glass panel" and "bathtub-size steel bucket of debris" that have previously fallen from the Tower. Off the top of our head we remember other downpours of manmade objects including window glass, subway panels, chunks of ceiling, and bricks just this summer. And there's been a lot of falling construction workers, too. Well, look on the bright side: maybe the New Great Depression will put an end to all this shoddy construction.
