Con Man Tries to Use David Dinkins' AmEx Card
Christopher Bowman of the Bronx was picked up by Brewster troopers after he tried to withdraw $4,900 from another man's bank account. In his attempted fraud, Bowman was using an American Express card bearing an account number that had once belonged to former Mayor David Dinkins. Dinkins had cancelled the AmEx account after fraud was detected on it, reports the Danbury News Times. Bowman was booked on several charges including second degree criminal impersonation.
