Hassled Protest is On for This Evening

The Donut Social police protest, the planning difficulties of which we reported earlier, is permitted and on for tonight, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at East 5th Street and First Avenue. However, the police have sonically limited the event to a reading of 75db at 20 feet, which is about the noise a good vacuum cleaner makes, placing unaccustomed restrictions on the planned performances of the bands, the Crack Rock Steady and Death Mold. At issue, in case you were wondering, is police brutality, developer greed, and harassment of activists.
