Play Online Curator at Brooklyn Museum

Categories: Featured

bklynjug.jpgHere's something for all you Art History majors stuck in desk jobs: while away your free minutes helping the Brooklyn Museum meta-tag the 5,225 "object records" of their collection, which just recently came online. Once you've registered at the site, you can play the Tag Game, in which the Museum throws a painting, sculpture, or artifact at you, and you call it "Post-Industrial" or "Beaux Arts" or "Ugly" or "Chair" or whatever you want. Repeat as needed.

Further evidence that the Museum has hired a social networking consultant: it refers to its online community as "the Posse." We've always found the Museum's vibe more Auster than gangsta, but we haven't been to a First Saturday in a while: Maybe those kids skateboarding outside the Rubin Pavilion are actually members.
