Post Back to Cell Watch

littlejohn.jpgBack in the 1970s, the New York Post famously smuggled a photo of a snoozing David "Son of Sam" Berkowitz out of jail, and printed it with the headline SAM SLEEPS. Security in City correctional facilities must be tighter now, because only a court pic accompanies the Post's IMETTE HULK SULKS story about accused rapist/murderer David Littlejohn's jailhouse complaints. Littlejohn, the former Falls bouncer who will begin trial on Wednesday in Brooklyn Supreme Court for the gruesome killing of Imette St. Guillen, is suing the City for refusing him access to common areas and religious services while in custody, and for subjecting him to "enhanced restraints" when he is moved. Lurid details of the crime of which he is accused are revisited in the item.
