Roosevelt Island 360 reports that the complicated "Prayer Booth" located at the Tramway Plaza at the Manhattan end of the Roosevelt Island Tram is an art project, not an actual facility. Also, in the ongoing drama of the Roosevelt Island subway escalators, RI360 says that one set of escalators will be ready six days ahead of schedule, and another two weeks behind schedule.
The Island's Main Street Wire's top news stories are "RIOC Board Reaffirms Dual-Haul Tram Plan" (referring to the tram renovation scheduled for April-September 2009, which will allow two tram cars to run independently), and "Residents Association Prepares for Elections To Its Common Council."
