In 2002, AARP's "Best Employers for Workers Over 50" included two (2) companies from the New York area. This year's list of 25 geezer-friendly firms includes no New York companies. Within commuting distance, if you can get your tired old bones out there, are Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Newark), Atlantic Health (Morristown) and Pearson (Upper Saddle River). If you're not that spry, don't despair: in the coming Depression we expect stores like Macy's and Bergdorf Goodman to employ oldsters as Walmart-style greeters, with salaries subsidized by the four-term Bloomberg Administration.
