New Magnolia Bakery Opens; Northward Tourist Migration Expected (Updated)

From its ridiculously long lines, we had assumed the Magnolia Bakery only existed on Bleecker Street and in the hearts of Sex and the City fans. But apparently there's one on Columbus Avenue, too, and another is opening this week at 49th and Sixth Avenue, reports Rachel of Cupcakes Take The Cake, who shows* the severely overexposed bakers' new T-shirt at her site. Maybe now we can declare midtown a second SATC site (sort of Disney World to downtown's Disneyland), move the Tour buses northward, and render the Meatpacking District semi-livable on weekends.
