Best Buy Opens Bronx Store Before Inevitable Bankruptcy
Best Buy is opening a new store in the Bronx tomorrow, and what an exciting event that will be -- especially right on the heels of the parent company's dismal financial report, which showed October sales down seven percent due to "rapid, seismic changes in consumer behavior." Maybe they hope to pick up business from bankrupt Circuit City; if so, good luck, because that desperate electronics chain will be cutting prices to the bone this holiday season; besides, this Christmas we're all buying each other potholders and gum.
The Bronx Best Buy is at 402 East Fordham Road. Magic Johnson will appear at 8:15 a.m. to give an "inspired speech."
