In NY26, Lee Admits "Mistake" Led to Firing; Kryzan off WFP Line

chrislee.jpgIn one of the two New York races the National GOP continued to fund after last week's financial pull-back, both Congressional candidates recently suffered setbacks.

The Buffalo News reported Saturday that Republican candidate Chris Lee admitted he "made a mistake" that got him fired from a computer products company in 1989. The News says the mistake involved revising some customers' credit limits upward without authorization.

Lee's opponent Alice Kryzan had hoped to replace Jonathan Powers on the Working Family Party line in the western New York race, and a sympathetic Powers obliged by moving out of state. But a circuit court ruling today confirmed that Powers will stay on WFP line, and Kryzan will be listed only on the Democratic line.
