Last NY Transit Bargains: Roosevelt, Staten Islands

rooseveltbus.jpgYeah, the city's/country's collapsing and MetroCards will soon cost hundreds of euros, but you know what probably won't go up: the cost of a Roosevelt Island "red bus" ride. It's been a quarter since 1995, when it went up from a dime, Roosevelt Island 360 tells us; prior to 1991 there was no charge. And the Staten Island Ferry is free, which just goes to show that the law of supply and demand still works in New York at least.
