Russian Prof: U.S. Finished, Russia to Mop Up

Could the U.S. economic crisis lead to the breakup of the Union? An esteemed Russian political analyst says it will.
According to the Drudge Report, Professor Igor Panarin argues in Monday's Izvestia newspaper that the U.S. dollar is "not secured by anything," and that our ballooning foreign debt represents "a pyramid that can only collapse."
Panarin, 60, a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and author of several books on
information warfare, predicts skyrocketing prices, catastrophic unemployment, etc, leading to a "lack of unified national laws" and the ultimate dissolution of the United States into six autonomous sections: the West Coast, the South, Texas, the Atlantic Coast (that's us!), the Central States, and the Northern States.
The Professor sees China and Russia stepping into the global economic breach as saviors of the world economy. Didn't Nikita Khrushchev promise something similar?
