Former NYPD commissioner
Bernie Kerik is being arraigned today in White Plains for allegedly failing to disclose income on tax returns and falsifying a loan application. He'd previously been charged with, and pled not guilty to, corruption charges (including giving false information on his application to become U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security) in what federal prosecutors described as a "
crime spree." In apparent reference to this contretemps, Kerik talks about the "
cockroaches" who "will come out when you're down" in interviews accessible
