Adolfo Carrion is finally getting his much-anticipated ticket out of the Bronx. Several sources say
the Bronx Borough President will be appointed head of the new White House Office of Urban Policy. What a relief that must be: last week Carrion unwisely blabbed to kids at Yale
that he was being considered for several jobs, only to see the plum among them, HUD Secretary, go to local boy Shaun Donovan
this weekend. He may have come to feel that his self-promotion had been counter-productive, and that he would be stuck explaining his Yankee Stadium rollover
for the rest of his term.
Also relieved, no doubt: Carrion's protective fans at the Daily News.
