firing of Jets head coach Eric Mangini. Local sports reporters were
outraged by the team's "Mets-like" late-season collapse from 8-3 to 9-7, and by yesterday's loss to the Dolphins, whose QB Chad Pennington used to play for the Jets, and who, unlike the Jets, are going to the playoffs. Now that Mangini's done, some of the sports scribes are fantasizing about
