Merry Coney Closing Christmas from Thor Equities!
Here, let us bum out your Christmas: this picture (by Jonesy at the Coney Island BB, h/t Gowanus Lounge) is from the Coney Island Boardwalk, where "For Lease" signs are going up over several buildings (so the Polar Bear Club will see them, we guess). Among the shuttered businesses is Ruby's, the big, wonderful old bar with all the old Coney pictures, that was a great, no-bullshit place to drink. Maybe the vandal/developer Thor Equities will put an Applebee's in its place. You know, we think we'll have a little Christmas punch now, and leave out everything but the bourbon.
