Ole Fred Thompson To Replace O'Reilly On the Wireless

Ole Fred Thomson shore livened up that ole Republican Presidential campaign with his debate appearances, in which he sometimes cleared his throat and commenced to speechify, but mostly just set and whittled. Now Westwood One has found the perfect job for a 97-year-old former candidate who would prefer not to get out of his chair: replacement host of Bill O'Reilly's radio show. Thompson, who will start in March, says the show is "the ideal way for me to continue my dialog with America about the issues we all face each day" -- as in the above video, in which ole Fred suggests filmmaker Michael Moore might wind up in a nuthouse. Fred has filled in for Paul Harvey before, so he knows how to read off'n a piece o' paper right good.
