UAW Knows Someone You Hate Worse Than Them

The UAW is having a hard time convincing people that most of their workers don't really make $71 an hour and that the proposed auto industry bailout, in pursuit of which they have made some large concessions on their job bank and health care for retired workers, is not a feather-bedding scheme for themselves. So they ran this full-page ad in today's New York Times (full version here) and will run TV spots in Maine, Kentucky, Indiana and Minnesota to counteract that impression.

We think we'll use the same headline when people start telling us what shits journalists are.

The Times covered the new concessions in the same issue, but from the way some critics describe the article, you really couldn't call it synergy. (Disclosure: Voice employees belong to UAW Local 2110.)
