We are delighted to report that
Dr. Jamshad "Jim" Wyne has returned to Staten Island politics. He wans to be borough president and is running for the Republican nomination. We became aware of Dr. Wyne last fall, when he contested for the GOP Congressional nomination and impressed us with his
heavy breathing and unique political rhetoric ("we should not extend any people, bail them out, they should be responsible, there should be foreclosure"), and by
refusing to endorse rival Bob Straniere after the campaign and calling him a "racist candidate, though he now tells the
Advance that if James Molinaro beats him in the beep race, he will not make trouble. Wyne has kept in the public eye since the last election by
offering a reward in the borough's
most recent hate crime spree.
