Live from D.C.: Bushwick Kids Watch Pete Seeger
On the national mall with the Urban Assembly New York Harbor School from Bushwick. Pete Seeger just sang "This Land is Your Land," and the principal, Nate Nudley, is helping a kid get warmed up.
One student, a senior this year, just said: "I wanna be the first gay Hispanic president!" Another senior: "There's not going be another first black President" (so he's glad he's here). The kids left Bushwick at midnight last night, and had to write an essay to be able to come.
