"The City" Toff, Golden Globes Get Ahead of Themselves

citydouche.jpgNo, no, no -- you're supposed to get arrested for soliciting after you're famous, and announce the winners during the award ceremony.

The Smoking Gun reveals that James Nevan Donahue, who plays a friend or something of "social" Olivia in the MTV car-wreck "The City," was arrested in 2007 for approaching an undercover cop with his pants unbuckled and an offer of Oxycontin in exchange for oral sex. He got probation but apparently has never fulfilled his community service and a warrant is outstanding. Wow, he finally seems a little interesting.

And the Golden Globes website briefly posted its list of Best Actress nominees with a gold star next to Anne Hathaway's name -- their traditional way of signaling a winner, usually availed after the win has been announced, which is not supposed to happen until January 11. The Globes site has posted a weak explanation, and our bookie has stopped taking bets on the outcome. This brings us back to the glory days of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Pia Zadora. You kids don't know what you're missing.
