The Queens District Attorney's office says NYPD Detective Stephen Anderson, in commission of a buy-and-bust, purchased three bags of cocaine at Club Delicioso in Elmhurst in January 2008. Then, it is alleged, he
passed two of the bags to Officer Stephen Anderson so Anderson could say he bought them from four
other guys in the bar, who were arrested along with the guilty parties. Prosecutors say one of them also went back to the bar later to snatch the surveillance tape so they wouldn't get caught. They were apparently unthorough, however, as authorities
got the tapes anyway and started building a case against the cops, who now face
multiple charges and could go away for up to nine years.
