Unemployment at 16-Year High, Says Damned Liberal Media
77 percent of the American people believe the media is making the economy worse by talking about it; various right-wingers agree, and some say we should all be sued for damages. But at the risk of further alienating you, not to mention of civil action, we feel compelled to report that the latest national unemployment figure is 7.2 percent, the worst such rate since Bill Clinton was first inaugurated; and, since the number reflects only the people who are still receiving benefits, not including those who have dropped off the rolls and remained unemployed, things are probably a good deal worse.
If you don't want to read about it in the treasonous, liberal, economy-destroying Times, you may read about it at the patriotic Wall Street Journal, which adds that the 2.6 million jobs America lost in 2008 is "the most since World War II ended in 1945."
