World's Worst Bank Robber Goes For Record in Staten Island

pagliarulo.jpgPoor Raymond Pagliarulo is, like many of us, just trying to live his dream, which is evidently to become a bank-robber. But he's not very good at it: he'd tried three times to pull bank jobs in Staten Island before today, only to get caught shortly afterwards. One time he even walked out empty-handed when the teller refused to hand over the money, and got arrested anyway -- but it took a few days to find him, which must have given him encouragement, as the other two times he was apprehended within 20 minutes. So today he was at it again, but suffered what must be a devastating reversal: he got caught in one minute flat, according to the Staten Island Advance. An NYPD Task Force just happened to be working the area when the call came in. Maybe Pagliarulo will find glory yet in the Guinness Book of World Records; though other failed robbers have more flair, we doubt many can match his persistence. (h/t Emily Brady)
