Diaz Endorses Mystery Candidate, "Last Name Diaz," for Beep
As you may have heard, Adolfo Carrion has been appointed by the Obama Administration to head the White House Office of Urban Affairs, which will leave the Bronx borough presidency vacant. Bronx pols are already scrambling for the seat. Our own John DeSio approached one of our most telegenic state senators, the Reverend Ruben Diaz, Sr., to see whom he would support. As you will see above, he is looking for a candidate "about 36 years old, Puerto Rican, last name Diaz, who graduated from Lehman College." He may be referring to his son, assemblyman Ruben Diaz, Jr., but Diaz Sr., crafty as ever, would not be more specific.
