GOP Congressman Apologizes for Obscene Anti-Union Video

It's getting so you can't even make a bleeping joke in politics anymore. GOP House Whip Eric Cantor, angry about an ad from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees that unfavorably mentions him as an opponent of the stimulus, forwarded to a reporter at the liberal Talking Points Memo an old parody video in which a goonish AFSCME narrator tells viewers, over heroic music, that "there's a union out there called AFSCME and they're busting' their balls for you doing a lot of shit work you take for granted. For example, we pick up your fuckin' garbage," etc. The reporter spread the word, and union leaders including AFL-CIO president John Sweeney demanded an apology, which Cantor has delivered. We miss the days when these guys all drank together and told dirty stories.
