GOP Pol Defines Obesity: If you can't see it, you're too fat
Here's a bit of blog blubber tailor-made for the Voice's newly instituted Pass-the-Reader along rule: Newsday's Spin Cycle has a mildly redacted version of what conservative Suffolk County GOP legislator Thomas Barraga had to say at a recent hearing on the all-important trans-fats debate: "A guy gets in the shower, he looks down -- if you can see your penis, you are the proper weight. If you only see half your penis, you're overweight. And if you can't see it at all, you're obese. It's the stomach-penis calibration of weight gain."
After Barraga, described as a trim ex-Marine, finished, a fellow legislator responded: "Stop looking at me, will you?"
