New Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's "
hinted" change on immigration -- which was presaged by her
employment of a Bronx power broker's consulting firm -- is apparently proceeding on schedule.
NY1 says Gillibrand has told their "sister station NY1 Noticias" that she will "support immigrant-friendly initiatives." She reportedly will back off her
previous support of a bill to deputize local officers to do immigration enforcement and, says
National Review, "she is now OK with so-called sanctuary cities" -- like us! (Of course, round our way it's a more
bipartisan issue.) "The Gillibrand rebranding,"
NR continues, "speaks to how well Hispanic politicians and advocates have learned the political ropes." They're not the only ones who are learning.
