Rape Game Stirs Outrage, Insane Rightwing Column

Over in Japan, they have this video game where you chase a woman and her two daughters and try to rape them. To make matters worse, it's not called "Jackson County Jail" or "Abu Ghraib Fantasy" or anything like that but, rather coldly, "Rapelay." Something Awful and others have known about this thing for some time, though for obvious reasons none of our gamer friends ever talk about it. Apparently Amazon was selling Rapelay, though, which led to outrage from Christine Quinn and others, and thence to removal from the Amazon queue. Quinn asked other distributors to stop selling the game as well.

You'd think conservatives would be pleased by this, as Quinn has helped blocked dissemination of the highly offensive game without passing another Nanny State law of the sort right-wingers oppose. However, at Town Hall Kenneth McCullough offers an essay called, "What Liberals share with 'Rapelay,'" explaining that "Liberals are long known for light sentences for child molestors, opposition to child rape and child porn laws," and that "Defenders of [Rapelay] say it's not real rape because it only occurs between computer animations. There are no genuine side effects. And it won't impact reality. Sort of like what liberals sound like when it comes to our money." Why is a rape "game"different? Well, first of all is targets a specific group, women. The rapist is rewarded for raping as many women as he can. Men, I have to say, that it is your responsibility to protect women and children. But you aren't. Women and children are constantly being violated and degraded. It can only be a deranged mind that would enjoy playing this "game". This is criminal activity of the mind. It will desensitize men, and young boys. It is beyond explanation.

Honestly, I can't even believe people are trying to even defend this game. At least when you're murdered you don't have to live with the devastating aftereffects that rape can have on a person. If you ever had it happen to you or a close friend, maybe you'd have some sympathy. But then again I assume you're some strong god guided by his dick. Maybe someone needs to do to you what is being done to these women both in the game and on the streets, and maybe when you're sitting on your ass defending this game maybe just maybe you'll see how what you're writing is extremely disturbing and completely illogical.
if murder games and killing spree games are okay then rape game are definitely no problem , unless youre a feminist retard who thinks rape is a worse crime than murder, lighten up its just a game ! we have been playing gory fantasy games since ages and this is no different !
"Why are murder games (that's about half of them) okay but rape games bad?" if the murder games were about just going and killing women they would be. this puts you in control of how, allows you to have other men come and join you in the raping of women. you get points for shouting belittling comments and taking down strong women or feminists, and youre supposed to force them to have abortions and such. even if i approved on a game thats getting off on controlling and enjoying rape i wouldnt condone such blatant misogyny.
In the first place, why did such company allowed a game to be released in US? Didn't they even bothered to think that this will affect them as well? Well, It really depends on us adults how to train our kids when it comes to video games. It's really interesting to think that video games have good effects as well.
As the saying goes, "to each, his own" rape in Japan while is acceptable, they put a very high value to honor and pride. Unlike some of us where money is king, stealing is fine as long as you dont get caught, the bigger the better so that some would talk about you with a degree of admiration and you have a higher chance of getting away with just a tap on the shoulder.

The Japanese have a whole subset of their pop culture dedicated to rape. For example, there are movies which feature a Superhero called "Rapeman" who uses rape to teach women a lesson. What those lessons might be aren't always clear, but the Japanese culture features some truly twisted things, both mainstream and porn. Must be a Zen thing. A rape game is small potatoes compared to some other stuff.
