Audio: Dominic Recchia Yells At Coney Island Hearing

• How did this guy get where he is? He seemed to come from nowhere and won in a Jewish and now overwhelmingly Russian area.

• I am contemplating a run. I got 31% against this guy in 05. Although, I am a republican and most of this district is brainwashed into believing they are Democrats.

• I always knew that Recchia was a piece of shit. He's right ... he is looked upon the community.. as a BUM!(except for those he has paid off with member item monies.

• Has anyone stepped up to run against Recchia? Who are possible contenders? With the term limits extension, all of the guys who were going to run for the empty seat took themselves out of the running. They don't want to go up against him.

• Thank you for the audio. Recchia's rant was one of the highlights of the Coney Island hearing. I'm thrilled to be able to relive the experience and share it with friends who had better things to do than waste time going to that godawful meeting. The CB kowtowed to the council members from Brighton and Coney. They did not even allow discussion the 20 amendments to the Coney Island zoning plan before voting. Shameful! Bring back the Board of Estimate!
