State Settles on Special Election -- Overseas Votes Get 6 More Days

tediscomurphy.jpgIn response to U.S. Department of Justice action, the state board of elections has agreed to count absentee ballots that come in through April 13. They were going to stop on April 7, but then DOJ began questioning the length of time New York had given offshore voters (including those serving in the military) to get theirs in.
