Hey, our hometown Bridgeport, Connecticut is in the news! Let's see what that's about -- hm, looks like a kid threw his unpeeled banana in the garbage and his teacher
took it out and made him eat it. The banana, we mean. Apparently the kid hadn't eaten his lunch and the teacher says she was worried about that, though we suspected an antiquated notion of "wasting food" may have been involved. Mother is outraged, cops give teacher a summons, teacher is out on "medical leave." Wait, other sources (foreign!) say
Chicken McNuggets were also involved. The superintendent of schools was
forced to give a news conference in which he said, "This is not typical of what goes on in Bridgeport public schools." Things have sure changed in the old town.
