People Still Outraged Over Pulled "Baby Shaker" App

babyshaker.jpg
Won't someone please think of the virtual children? You may have heard that Apple abruptly pulled the fanciful "Baby Shaker" app it had briefly offered for iPhones. The app allowed users to shake their iPhone until the image of a squalling infant went silent and developed red X's over its eyes. Now the Sarah Jane Brain Project, a group that seeks to eradicate Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury, is going to hold a press conference at the Apple Store on Prince Street at 2 p.m. today, and bring with them Sarah Jane herself, a "3-year-old who was shaken when she was only 5 days old, breaking 3 ribs, both collarbones and causing a severe brain injury."

Yikes! You can see where this is going: soon Apple Stores will be mobbed with driver safety groups protesting GTS World Racing with an in-store by kids rendered paraplegic by reckless drivers, privacy advocates outraged by Floort, victims of amateur surgery, etc. Soon all you'll be able to play on your iPhone will be Dorf on Golf, until advocates for the mentally-challenged get hold of it. Oh well, there's always sexting.
