Tea Parties Are Go!

New York's version is scheduled for 7 p.m. at City Hall Park -- Newt Gingrich is supposed to speak! There have already been some big ones in Cincinnati and Austin; others are smaller but have lots of signs and homebrewed coverage ("The atmosphere is upbeat - the people here seem to be discouraged but not yet depressed"). The Tennessean has a webcam up in Nashville; at this writing they're playing "Can't Touch This" and waving placards. In DC they're protesting Chairman Maobama. Some participants post their twitpics and photos, others their speeches ("Virginia's motto is Sic Semper Tyrannis. Thus Always to Tyrants"), others conspiracy stories ("ACORN smears feces in restaurant sponsoring Tea Party, Greenville SC"). Ed Anger's on board. Wake up and fight the fascism, people!
