Tedisco-Murphy Tied, In Court; Former Rep Gets 2nd DWI

The unofficial results of last week's NY-20 Congressional race after machine recanvassing is a tie -- Murphy 77225, Tedisco 77225. There's some caviling over this, but it doesn't matter -- the paper ballots, domestic and imported, are still to be examined, pending a court challenge -- surely not the last of this race, if the current state of play on close elections is anything to go by. Meanwhile former Congressman from the district John Sweeney racked up his second DWI -- only mildly relevant but still pretty funny. True to form among legislators past and present, Sweeney asked the arresting troopers if they knew who he was.
