Nine of the 23 city schools that were closed for suspected swine flu last week
are reopening tomorrow -- but six more schools are closing in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Meanwhile
two new presumed swine flu deaths in New York have been announced: in addition to Queens Assistant Principal
Mitchell Wiener and the
still unidentified Queens woman in her 50s, new city health commissioner Thomas Frieden announced a 41-year-old Queens woman and a 34-year-old Brooklyn man suspected of suffering from swine flu died over Memorial Day weekend. Again, "
underlying health conditions" were reported and are presumed to have contributed to the effect of the virus.
