4 More Schools Close for Swine Flu

To the 11 schools that were recently closed due to suspected swine flu infection, you can add P.S. 209 and its special affiliate, P9, in Whitestone, P.S. 19 in Corona, and P.S. 32 in Flushing. New York State's swine flu case count is at 259, with 186 in the city. Oh, and there might be a new case in Staten Island.

Meanwhile the recent death of Queens assistant principal Mitchell Wiener has been reported in Britain and Berlin and is sending ripples of concern across the country. New cases have been reported in Houston, Kentucky, Union City, New Jersey, and southern Illinois in just the past few hours. Looks like we've got swine flu back to kick around, or vice versa, for a while yet
