Alomar Settles Ex's AIDS-Claim Suit

Back in February an ex-girlfriend of former Mets star Roberto Alomar brought a $15 million suit against him, claiming he has AIDS and had endangered her by insisting on unprotected sex. It is now reported that Alomar and the ex, Ilya Dall, have settled; terms are undisclosed. Alomar's lawyer, Charles Bach, did not respond to the Daily News' inquiry as to Alomar's HIV status, saying only, "He's healthy and he looks great" -- as he appears to be in the photo of Alomar with girlfriend Maripily Rivera, taken in February. Alomar, a lifetime .300 hitter, played for the Mets in 2002 and 2003, and led the team in hits in his first year. Photo via Home Run Derby.
