"Meet Miss Subways" at Rush Art Galleries

This is just sweet: the Rush Art Galleries on West 26th Street are having a show called "Meet Miss Subways," with contemporary photos taken by Fiona Gardner of some of the ladies who, between 1941 and 1976, won public phone and mail competitions for the honor, and appeared in subway ads. The contest was briefly revived by the MTA in 2004. The show is on through May 30.
