Rockaway Wave Photographer Nominated for Pulitzer Prize

One of our favorite papers, the Rockaway Wave, reports that the far-flung inlet community has seen its "First Drowning of Season." The dead woman appears to be of Indian descent, and in her 40s. Police are investigating and autopsying. We are submitting Howard Schwach's lurid photo of detectives chatting over the body (above) for a Pulitzer Prize -- as we did last year with Wave cartoonist Robert Sarnoff's pithy work, alas to no avail.
