Somebody Got Murdered: Shooting in Sheepshead Bay

LOCATION: Voorhies Avenue and East 18th Street
TIME: 12:47 a.m. this morning
A 50-year-old native of India was shot and mortally wounded shortly after midnight Thursday in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. Details on the shooting are still limited, but cops say Tamiz Din was shot in the chest and stomach at about 10 minutes to 1 a.m. at the intersection of Voorhies Avenue and East 18th Street. The shooting took place near his home on Voorhies.
Paramedics worked on him and then took him to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced at 1:30. No arrests so far.
