At least two people have been shot at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. -- one a museum guard, the other the shooter himself. Other reports say three people were injured, though it's not clear whether the third was hit by gunfire or debris. (Update: The security guard, Stephen Tyrone Johns, 39, has died.)

Some reports identify the shooter as James Van Brunn, who would appear to be the proprietor of this site, which describes itself as a "carefully documented treatise exposes the JEWS and explains what you must do to protect your White family." This Von Brunn appears to have created his own wikipedia page. The shooter's identity, however, is not officially confirmed.

More as it develops.

Update: Other sources are fingering Von Brunn, also known by James W. Von Brunn. Here's a 2004 Stormfront post praising Von Brunn as a "white racialist treasure," and a 2003 Stormfront thread wishing him well on a recent illness ("a modern hero of our race!"). He is said to be in his late 80s.

From his biography:

For twenty years he was an advertising executive and film-producer in New York City. He is a member of Mensa, the high-IQ society.

In 1981 von Brunn attempted to place the treasonous Federal Reserve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent, citizens arrest. He was tried in a Washington, D.C. Superior Court; convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge. A Jew/Negro/White Court of Appeals denied his appeal. He served 6.5 years in federal prison. He is now an artist and author and lives on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Is this one of his paintings?
