Weekly Standard Sold to Blogger-Paper Chain

Clarity Media Group specializes in hiring a bunch of bloggers as "examiners" (if "hiring" is the right word, considering what they pay) to staff its low-cost Examiner papers, and is run by a Jesus freak. Now we learn Clarity has bought William Kristol's rightwing opinion spigot, The Weekly Standard, from Rupert Murdoch. This suggests the delightful possibility of all the Standard's correspondents being fired and replaced by rightbloggers. We nominate Jim Treacher for TV critic, and Michael Novak for sports editor. (See here for a nice essay on the Standard's tradition of excellence.)
