511NY Creates Twitter Feeds for Every Damn Subway Line
![]() |
Go here to follow any line you choose from the A to the Z. We warn you, though, it can get pretty active: the A, C, E lines feed had 12 service messages in the past 24 hours. And if you get on the statewide system feed, hoo boy, that's a lot of messages (mostly like, "Delays on Garden State Pkwy south South of Exit 149 - CR 506 (Bloomfield) to South of Exit 147," etc).
We wonder how independent transp twitterers who've been filling the gap -- like NYCtrains -- will respond. (WIth more "original content," probably.) Also: why doesn't 511 have a feed for New York City buses? (Probably because there's nothing to say except "We suck.")
